Much of the work involved in providing carpentry service to the Auckland Art Gallery project started long before construction began on site. One of the first major challenges was the procurement of the large quantity of New Zealand native kauri.
Construction Manager Scott Thrupp says the collaboration between all members of the supply chain was essential to ensure that the supply, manufacture and installation of the pre-fabricated kauri components met the construction programme.
